Pub crawls 2022-2023

CUTwC runs a series of pub crawls throughout (mostly) the first two terms of the academic year, intending to visit every public house in Cambridge during that time. This is an excellent way to learn you way around Cambridge, so long as you don’t mind asking “what pub’s it near?” when being given directions.

See also the 2021-2022 crawl.

Crawl map 2022-2023

Let’s try this again...

Friday 10th of March: The Chesterton Road Crawl

This crawl was cancelled due to illness and lack of availability, and will be rescheduled for Easter term.

Meeting in Thirsty Cambridge at 7:30pm.

7 pubs to visit.

Saturday 25th of February: The Castle Hill Crawl

Meeting in The Travellers Rest at 7pm.

7 pubs visited.

Attendance: Edward Brown, Bertie, Harley, Andrew, Sam Clayton (up to and including the Castle, possibly due to suspect beer in the Grapes), Chilli and Hilary (Travellers Rest only)

Note: The Curry King is still running a reduced menu, and despite that had some difficulty hosting us on the Cambridge Open weekend. Edward, Bertie and Andrew experimented with “Pakka” on Castle Hill, with some success (although their menu is unusual); notably they claim to be open until 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Thursday 16th of February: The Town Centre Crawl

Meeting in The Regal at 7:30pm.

76 pubs visited (not including the Bird or Worm?)

Attendance: Edward Brown, Bertie, Holly

Note: This map includes both the Bird or Worm? as an optional starter and a Curry King as a dessert, since neither are conveniently close to the rest of the crawl, just more convenient than anything else...

Saturday 28th of January: The King Street Crawl
